There is a lot to love about Stuart, Port St Lucie, and Fort Pierce on Florida’s Treasure Coast – I love the family atmosphere and the feeling of being at home that is just not availible in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami Dade counties, which is where I spent the first 30 years of my life, and the beginnings of my carreer as a Florida artist. The thing that I have problems with however, is the flatness of the art scene here – all sailboats and sunsets, without the cutting edge, bold and colorful abstract art that is available just an hour or two south. I know that the art talent is here, and I know the residents of the treasure coast have a desire to see something new and different hanging in their galleries and hanging in their homes.
At this point, what I can offer the art lovers of the Treasure coast (and the rest of the world) is my online gallery - but I hope to work with like minded artists of Port St Lucie, Stuart and the rest of the treasure coast to form an alternative art fair to show off the latest in colorful abstract art.
